There is no coverage available for commercial use of a drone on a homeowner's policy.

You should buy insurance as soon as you get your drone. We offer double-layer insurance to help make it simpler. The first layer is for your basic coverage when you are not flying and covers third-party liability, property damage, and personal and advertising injury. The second layer offers in-flight liability coverage and is available by month, or year.

Monthly coverage is perfect for pilots that need coverage by the season or for an event. Our yearly policies offer 365 days of coverage with the lowest hull premium rates. Similarly, our annual policies have 24/7 access to activate, alter, and view coverage. Depending on your specific needs, different plans may be best for you.

All of our policies offer coverage for third-party liability, multiple drones under one policy, bodily injury and property damage (from $500K to $5M liability limit), additional insureds (with no extra charge), and personal injury and privacy claims coverage.

As soon as you submit your form, you will receive an email with your certificate of insurance and policy documents. Either of these is accessible on the app and through email to prove you have insurance. You can download the app to access your policy whenever you may need it. Whether you want to alter your policy or check to see what your policy covers, the app is an easy way to manage your policy.

The cost of your policy is dependent on many things like the shape, size, and intended purpose or use of your drone. How long you want the policy, and the type of coverage you select will also affect your rate. Rates start at $62/month (without hull coverage) and $750/year. If you decide to add protection against physical damage to the drone or equipment (hull coverage), there is an additional premium added. If you are adding to a monthly policy, it will add 14% of your drone's insured value; yearly it will add 8% of the insured value. It is possible to decrease your premium up to 30% with a safety discount by showing flight logs and receiving a safety score.
